Heidi Hastings

I am a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters degree in Entertainment Technology and graduated with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Digital Media.

While at Carnegie, I worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation in Manchester, United Kingdom, and attended school at Carnegie's remote campus in Silicon Valley, CA.

I specialize in digital art, post-production, video production, and Photoshop.

My Skills and software include: DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Motion, 3Ds Max, multiple studio lighting courses, concept art, storyboarding and experience in NUKEX6.3v4. I worked with the BBC in England helping to adapt Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' Monodrama "Eight Songs for a Mad King" into a film/interaction piece and was the Camera Assistant of the Myspace award Winning Indie Film "Jimmy and Judy".

    For the last year I've been working as the motion graphics artist for the History Channel's show detailing America's first serial killer HH Holmes. It's been a lot of rewarding fun work!

    Very Thankful to have gotten to cut the tape that sold to History Channel this year about the incredicble history of the car. Did a few Matte Paintings for the show as well. Keep an eye out for it on History.

    Hey Everyone, I'm in England traveling and filming for the project I'm working on with BBC and working with project leader Anthony Daniels (C3PO Star Wars). I have been lucky enough to travel to Edinburgh, Inverness, the Lake District and London to film and shoot for the film adaptation of "Eight Songs for a Mad King."
